Description

Astragalus Root Extract is derived from the roots of Astragalus membranaceus, a fundamental herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with a documented history of use spanning over 2,000 years. Known as “Huang Qi” in Chinese, astragalus has traditionally been used as a restorative tonic to enhance vitality, strengthen qi (life energy), and support resistance against fatigue and seasonal challenges.

The extract is standardized to polysaccharides (≥10%–50%), which are recognized as the key active constituents contributing to immune regulation and antioxidant protection. Astragalosides, flavonoids, and saponins present in the extract further support cardiovascular function, liver health, and cellular protection. Modern research suggests that Astragalus may help promote immune balance, reduce oxidative stress, and improve overall resilience.

Commercial production involves careful cleaning, slicing, and drying of astragalus roots, followed by aqueous extraction and spray-drying. The final product is a fine light-yellow powder, stable under proper storage conditions, and partially soluble in water.
